DEFEA at EURONAVAL 2022: Deputy Minister N.Hardalias, attends opening ceremony

The Greek Defense Industry has a strong presence abroad. The organization for the first time of a National Greek Pavilion at the international exhibition EURONAVAL in Paris was a great success for the Greek Defense Industry.

The opening of the Hellenic pavilion at the world’s largest Defense Exhibition for Naval issues, EURONAVAL 2022, which began on Tuesday 18 October and will conclude on 21 October in Paris.

The Greek Pavilion was organized by the Association of Greek Defense Equipment Manufacturers (SEKPY) with 12 companies participating including DEFEA – Defence Exhibitiona Athens.

It is the first time that Greek companies appear as a single force in this important exhibition which is under the auspices of the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Shipping and Insular Policy.

The inauguration took place on Tuesday at noon by the Deputy Minister of National Defense Nikolaos Hardalias who cut the blue ribbon under the applause of optimism in the presence of the Greek Ambassador to France Mr. Dimitris Zevelakis, the Chief of the Navy Vice Admiral Stylianos Petrakis, the Chief of the Coast Guard Vice-Admiral Georgios Alexandrakis, the executive member of the Board of Directors of Enterprise Greece Mrs. Betty Alexandropoulos, the General Director of GDAEE Mr. A. Alexopoulos and many French officials.

In his brief greetings, both the President of SEKPY Anastasios Rozolis and the Deputy Minister of National Defense Nikolaos Hardalias as well as the executive member of the Board of Enterprise Greece Mrs. Betty Alexandropoulou together with Louis le Pivain Vice President of the French association GICAN that followed referred to the great importance of cooperation that has existed in recent years between the French and Greek companies that brought today’s important day with the signing of the contracts between Greek and French Industry.

Indicative of yesterday’s day and the importance of the Greek Pavilion is the fact that the French Minister of Defense Sebastien Lecornu himself visited it in the afternoon, who was welcomed by the Greek delegation headed by the Minister of Defense.
