On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, the Chief of Hellenic National Defence General Staff , General Konstantinos Floros, met in his office with the Organizers of the Defense Exhibition Athens (DEFEA), including the President of the Greek Defense Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEKPY), Mr. Anastasios Rozolis; the president of the ROTA SA exhibition organizer , Mr. Georgios Tsausoglou; the managing director, Mr. Alexios Lagoudakis; and the Director of “DEFEA” Mr. Vasilios Barkas.

During the meeting, which was held in a particularly warm atmosphere, the successful organization of the International Defense and Security Exhibition “DEFEA 2023” held in Athens in May 2023, was acknowledged. The organizers expressed their gratitude for the significant contribution of the Armed Forces to the exhibition’s ultimate success.

The Chief of HNDGS referred, among other things, to the importance of organizing such high-level exhibitions of defense equipment. These events highlight and promote the country’s capabilities both at an organizational level and in the field of the defense industry. Through DEFEA, the exchange of know-how becomes possible, enabling participants to stay informed about modern developments in the sector of the National Defense Industry (Public and Private). This is one of the primary objectives of HNDGS, and it provides possibilities for further development in all its proposals for the development programs of the Hellenic Armed Forces.
