The Hellenic Navy announced a tender for the supply of six (6) electro-optical systems for an equal number of S-70B-6 Aegean Hawk naval cooperation helicopters, in the framework of the action “Strengthening the National Capacity of control and surveillance of the external borders as well as Research capabilities and Rescue “.

The budget of the program is € 5,850,000 with funding from the European Union (EU) and the Internal Security Fund, but also from national resources through the Public Investment Program (PIP). As stated in the relevant announcement: to supply materials will cover immediate and urgent needs of the Fleet Headquarters, in the context of the operational rescue missions from the Navy Helicopters “.
