Established in 1932, the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce (AmChamGR) is one of the most active American Chambers in Europe, with a mission to promote economic and business relations between the United States and Greece. It is a non-profit organization receiving no government funds, and it is a fully accredited member of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington D.C. and a full member of the American Chambers in Europe Association (ACE). The American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce actively works to continuously enhance and expand U.S.-Greek trade, business and investment relations through its extensive corporate membership, effective advocacy, and innovative initiatives including special-focus activities, exhibitions, forums, seminars, trade missions, and conferences on both sides of the Atlantic. Notably, AmChamGR, in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Greece, has been organizing the U.S. Pavilions at major international exhibitions in Greece for almost 90 years; these include the biennial Defendory international defense exhibition (from 1988 to 2008), the Posidonia international shipping exhibition (1986 to 2004) and Thessaloniki International Fair (1932 to today). Since 2014, AmChamGR has also organized the Hellenic Pavilion at the Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting and Exposition in Washington D.C. Today, the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce is the official organizer of the USA Pavilion at DEFEA – Defence Exhibition Athens, in collaboration with the U.S. Embassy in Athens and the Hellenic Chapter of AUSA. Mobilizing its networks across the United States and Greece, AmChamGR is proudly presenting more than 30 U.S. firms that are showcasing their state-of-the-art equipment and services at the USA Pavilion at DEFEA.
